HOW CAN MEDITATION IMPROVE YOUR LIFE?

If you run an internet search for the benefits of meditation a LONG list will come up. Here are just a few benefits my students and I have seen.

Counters THe Negative, Internal Chatter

Our minds are engaged in a continuous internal dialogue in which one experience or emotional association triggers the next. Often we’re not even conscious of this internal voice, and yet, it is the greatest source of stress in our lives. Meditation helps us become aware of this voice and our thoughts so we can turn them into Something Beautiful. How lovely!

reduces stress

Have you ever met someone who says they enjoy being stressed? Doubt it. Chronic stress can make you sick, accelerate aging and contribute to high blood pressure, heart and autoimmune disease, anxiety, cancer, insomnia, chronic fatigue, obesity, depression, and lots of other terrible things. Reading that probably sent you into fight or flight! The good news is that meditation can help reverse the effects of the flight-or-fight response.

improves your health

Score! Who doesn't want to be healthier? More and more research is being published about the tangible benefits of having a meditation practice, including decreased blood pressure, hypertension and cholesterol levels, improved immune function and decreased anxiety, depression and insomnia.

Improves your relationships

Meditation helps you create more harmonious and loving relationships. It cultivates equanimity and compassion, allowing you to be present in any given situation. As you meditate on a regular basis, you continue to refine your ability to calmly and objectively observe a situation, notice when you are being triggered, and consciously choose how to respond.

MEDITATION IN THE WORKPLACE IS AN INVESTMENT IN YOUR PEOPLE AND YOUR BUSINESS

The benefits of meditation can go a long way in a group or work setting. According to SAP, their mindfulness program has generated a 200 percent ROI, measurable not only through participant feedback, but also through the increase in the Employee Engagement Index and the reduction in staff sick leave. Additionally, more than 13,000 Aetna employees have completed Aetna's mindfulness training and have reported reduced stress levels, improved sleep quality and a significant decrease in pain. Aetna employees also gained an average of 62 minutes per week of productivity, which Aetna estimates is worth $3,000 per employee each year. Mindfulness training is worth the investment.

Meet Libby

Hi friends! I'm Libby - a wanderer at heart, date lover (as in the food!), personal growth enthusiast and Chopra Center Certified Coach. After feeling like my life was spinning out of control due to a myriad of personal, work and health related circumstances, I began exploring medicinal treatments that focused on both the mind AND body. I began a daily mindfulness practice, primarily focused on meditation, and soon realized its powerful healing effects.

I'm now on the adventure of a lifetime, exploring the world, discovering my purpose, deepening my spirituality, immersing myself in new cultures and expanding my knowledge of the mind body connection. I'm a woman on a mission! My mission is to help individuals experience more joy, love and compassion by creating awareness about the benefits of mindfulness and the negative effects stress has on the body, both physically and emotionally.

My passion to bring more healing, love, compassion and harmony back into the world is contagious and evident throughout my work. For me, it isn't about just hosting a workshop or training session, but rather, creating a troop of Beautiful Souls who share similar desires and want to help bring my passion to life. I'd love for you to join our community!
